How to syndicate Facebook updates to Twitter #SocialMediaAutomation

Twitter logoSyndicating facebook updates to twitter automatically is quick and easy to make your social media management minutes go further, and it’s super easy to do. All you need to do is link your facebook profile or Page to your Twitter account.

Here’s how to link you facebook and twitter accounts in three easy steps:

  1. Go to… www.facebook.com/twitter
  2. Link to Twitter next to your profile or the Page you want to link
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions

After you’ve linked your profile or Page, you can choose the types of posts (ex: status, photo) that you want to share on Twitter. To choose the types of posts that you want to share:

  1. Go to… www.facebook.com/twitter
  2. Click Edit Settings below your profile or the Page you linked
  3. Click to check the box next to the things you want to share on Twitter
  4. Click Save Changes

Important notes:

  • Remember that twitter only allows tweets that are 140 characters or less, and that part of those characters will be used showing the URL of the facebook update you’re sharing so try to keep your words to 120 characters or less to allow for that.
  • When you’re updating facebook, be sure to ALWAYS add a few words about what you are posting, or the tweet will only be a link which is not very much of an incentive to click and some say a turn off

Would love to hear how you save time and money
