One of the new options available to our hosting clients is the option to choose to use either Horde or RoundCube as your webmail program. Both tools allow you to check your mail, send out new messages, and organize your account from a web browser. They do have different interfaces and some of the associated tools differ.
In the past, we’ve used Horde, but clients who’ve switched to RoundCube have been very pleased by the change saying that they’ve found it more user-friendly.
This video walks you through the process of changing from one tool to the other, with step by step directions below.
If you’d like to test it out, you can do so by going to https://admin.netrevenues.net:8443/ and logging in using your account access, which should have been provided on your access sheet. If you’re not sure what this is, please let us know and we can provide it to the account holder.
Once you’ve logged into your account, click ‘Mail’ at the top, then click the ‘Mail Settings’ tab. Near the bottom of the screen you’ll see a drop down menu which lets you choose, either RoundCube or Horde. Choose which one you’d like and click ‘OK’.
Once this change has been saved you’ll start seeing the new tool when you visit your webmail: http://webmail.yourdomain.com .
If you’re not sure about the change, feel free to test it out. You’re able to switch back and forth between the two solutions as you wish, with no impact to your actual email.
