Facebook at Work — a service for professionals, is geared towards workplace collaboration and nearly identical to its ubiquitous social network, with some bells and whistles like a scrolling news “feed”, “likes” and a chat service .
Facebook at Work lets employees create a work account that is separate from their personal Facebook account and use Facebook tools to interact with coworkers. The basic service will be free, but premium services competitive businesses require, such as analytics and customer support will be offered at “a few dollars per month per user”. Can you say ‘cha ching’?
I just downloaded Facebook At Work app for Android devices and plan to play around with this as soon as Facebook releases it to me for beta testing. Right now Facebook at Work is only available to some companies, and you need a work account to use it.
